BBQ Steak with mozzarella, basil and tomato salad

Ingredients

  • 2 sirloin steaks
  • 1 tbsps Bertolli Easy Cook
  • 200 grams tomatoes
  • 2 tbsps extra virgin olive oil
  • 240 grams buffalo mozzarella
  • 20 grams basil

Instructions

  1. Preheat BBQ. Coat the steak with Bertolli Easy Cook and season with salt and pepper and leave to one side.
  2. Meanwhile make the salad. Add the tomatoes to a bowl, along with the basil, extra virgin olive oil and tear in the mozzarella. Give it a good mix, then season with salt and pepper. Leave to one side.
  3. Cook for the steak (medium 3-5 minutes on each side, rare 2-3 minutes on each side) making sure you turn it half-way. Remove to a clean board or plate and leave to rest for 5 minutes.
  4. To serve, slice the steak into thick strips and serve alongside the salad with a handful of dressed rocket (if you fancy!)
